Install VectorShopper for WooCommerce
About five minutes. You need WordPress 6.4+, WooCommerce 8+ and PHP 7.4+.
- 1
Create your account
Sign up for free and open your account page. Note your Store ID and the Gateway URL, then create an API key and copy it.
- 2
Install the plugin
Download the plugin from your account page. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the .zip file, then install and activate it. WooCommerce must be active.
- 3
Connect your store
Go to WooCommerce → VectorShopper. Paste the Gateway URL, Store ID and API key, tick “Real-time sync”, save, then press “Test connection”.
- 4
Sync your catalog
Press “Sync all products”. Products are sent in batches of 50 and you’ll see progress as it runs. From then on, changes sync automatically.
- 5
Turn on instant search
Tick “Instant search” and save. Every search box in your theme now shows suggestions as shoppers type.
What gets indexed
Published products that are visible in search and have a price. Each product’s name, SKU, description, categories, tags, brand and attributes are combined into one block of text for the AI model, including the attribute values of all its variations. Hidden, draft, password-protected and unpriced products are left out. So are out-of-stock products if your store hides them.
Plan limits
Your plan sets how many products are indexed. You’ll see your usage on the plugin settings page and get an email at 80% and when you go over. New products keep being indexed for a 10% grace margin; after that they wait until you upgrade.
Troubleshooting
- Test connection fails: check the Gateway URL has no typo and starts with
https://, and that the API key is the latest one you created. - No suggestions appear: make sure “Instant search” is ticked in the plugin and switched on in the store’s Search settings in your account, and your theme’s search field is named
s(all standard WordPress and WooCommerce search forms are). - Some products are missing: run “Sync all products” again and check the usage table for plan-limit messages.
